Historical Notes
After the Nebraska Sanitarium was founded in 1895, Dr. J. H. Kellogg of Battle Creek, Michigan, took an interest in the college. Under his influence, a gymnasium was set up in the north end of the basement in the administration building. Equipment included Indian clubs, wands, and dumbbells.
