A large crowd of concert attendees surrounds a bandstand in College View in this 4" x 2 7/8" black and white photograph. Most of the audience members are sitting on the ground, but some are standing. The concert's performers can be seen on the bandstand itself. Large leafy trees provide shade for the concert-goers, and some brick buildings can be seen in the background behind the trees.

Historical Notes
In 1907, a bandstand was built at the corner of 48th and Prescott Streets. In 1910, a streetcar ran off the track and pushed the bandstand off its foundation. With the permission of the college, it was moved to a knoll further off the street.
