A brick street leads to the front facade of the Nebraska State Capitol Building. A staircase leads to the double-door main entrance on the second floor over which is engraved: "The salvation of the state is watchfulness in the citizen." The "Sower" a statue of a man casting seed from the bag over his shoulder, stands atop the 400 foot tower. A tree-lined circular driveway runs on either side of the stairs and runs under the staircase passed the entry to the first floor.
The Nebraska State Capitol Building is located at 1445 K Street and sits on grounds bounded by S. 14th to S. 16th Streets, and H to K Streets in Lincoln, Nebraska. The brick street leading to the capitol was S. 15th Street was later turned into part of Centennial Mall and car traffic ends at M Street.
