Men stand by and on two tractors on a wooden platform outside the Hart-Parr Company. The tractors have metal wheels, steam engines and a canopy. The tractor that can be seen head on has "Hart Parr" painted on the steam engine. Advertising painted on the brick building includes "Hart-Parr Co. Gas Tractors" above the large door (signed Lincoln Sign Wks.) and "The modern farm horse. Does plowing for 40 to 60 cents per acre. eats nothing when idle" to the left of the door.
There is no Hart-Parr Company listed in Hoye's City Directory of Lincoln, 1897, but there is a Hart Weigher Company which has agriculture implements located at 245 N. 10th Street.
