An arched doorway painted "Welcome Walk In" greets visitors to the Peoples City Mission Home, a two-story brick building located at 124 S. 9th Street. A sign higher up on the front of the building reads: City Mission; The Peoples City Mission Home, service every eve, You are welcome." A wide brick sidewalk runs at a slight slant in front of the building.
