The Globe Laundry delivery truck number 5 is parked on the sidewalk in front of the building at 1118 L Street in Lincoln. The truck's motor is underneath, leaving room for a shelf directly under the windshield. Painted on the side is: "Send it to the Laundry", Cleaning, Pressing, Dyeing.
According to Lincoln City Directory, 1920, Ernest W. Truman was president of Globe Laundry Co. and Walter F. Pickett served as general manager. The offices of Globe Laundry were located around the corner at 340 S. 11th Street. Mr. Truman was also president of Lincoln Cleaning and Dye Works of which his son, Ernest Jr., was treasurer and manager.
