In Capitol Hardware and Paints at 1447 O Street in Lincoln, six men and one woman stand around a table which holds a variety of Sunbeam electrical appliances including an iron, waffle baker, toaster, Mixmaster and razor. One man pours coffee from a Sunbeam coffeepot into one of six cups on the table. A jar of Butter Nut coffee also sits on the table. Behind them, advertising signs top display shelves filled with paint cans.
According to Polk's City Directory of Lincoln, 1947, Howard D. "Bill" Murrell owned Capitol Hardware and Paints which sold "Hardware, Paints, Appliances and Radios." According to the Sunbeam website, the company changed its name from Chicago Flexible Shaft Company to Sunbeam in 1946, the year this photograph was taken.
