Men from the Rathbone Company work with equipment to level ground for what appears to be new streets. Wagons with horses are being loaded with the dirt for removal. Twin bungalow-style houses sit immediately behind the grading equipment. A windmill stands behind the house on the right. In the distance can be seen houses and farms on the south side of Lincoln, Nebraska, as well as the dancing pavilion at Antelope Park.
According to Polk's City Directory of Lincoln, 1925, Rathbone Company dealt in real estate and its offices were located at 118 N. 11th Street. Harvey Rathbone was President, Byron E. Yoder, Vice president, and Grace A. Trott, Treasurer.
