The three long one-story buildings of a lumberyard stand in the foreground of this 5" x 3" black and white photograph. A pile of lumber sits outside each building. There is an empty field behind the buildings, and houses can be seen in the background beyond the field.
The lumberyard suffered major damage from fire in 1911; possibly the fire was ignited by sparks from a steam engine. Treadway later owned this lumberyard, and currently (2014), the Rising City co-op makes their corn pile on this site.
