This 5.25" x 3.25" sepia-toned postcard shows a large crowd of people gathered around a train at the Holdrege railroad station. Most people in the crowd are wearing hats, and several of them are waving. Theodore Roosevelt stands on a platform on the back of the train, leaning on a wrought iron railing. Two other men stand on the platform with him.
Theodore Roosevelt served as Vice President under William McKinley in 1901. Upon McKinley's assassination, Roosevelt became President and was elected to an additional term (1905-1909).
