Historical Notes
At the beginning of the biennium, the hospital served 457 patients, 226 males and 231 females, and at the end of the biennium, November 30, 1916, there were 705 patients, 391 males and 314 females. As the facilities were overcrowded and the hospital had had to turn away patients, the superintendent requested funds to build another building with a capacity of 100 patients.
