Blind pupil practicing, Nebraska School for the Blind, Nebraska City
Description
Miss Leona Jennings, in a long white dress, sits at a grand piano in a auditorium, her left hand reads the notes on the music in her lap, while her right hand plays in this 6-1/2" x 4" black and white plate. Miss Jennings is committing Schumann's "Soaring" to memory. Rows of fold-down wooden seats are bolted to the wooden floors and long windows line the far wall. Behind the piano is a pipe organ.
