A two-story brick building with two doors and several windows stands at the edge of a brick street in this 6-1/2" x 4-1/2" black and white photograph. The front of the building has a long porch with stairs on each end. "Western Supply Co." is painted on the side of the building. Several cars are parked on the street, and one is parked in an empty lot next to the building. Other brick buildings can be seen in the background. "Western Supply Co." is written on the photograph.
H. M. Rathburn was the general manager of Western Supply Co., which was located at 820 N Street in Lincoln. Construction of the building occurred in 1895. A 1929 ad stated the company specialized in "Wholesale Steam, Water and Plumbing Supplies." The building still stands (2012) and the fancy brickwork of the facade is visible upon close examination, through many modifications and layers of paint.
