This 6-1/2" x 4-1/2" black and white photograph shows a multi-story brick building standing on a corner. The building has windows with awnings and two short staircases leading to doors. Two signs on the building read "Butter-Nut Bread Co." The building has a lawn, and a sidewalk runs in front of it. A section of brick runs down the center of one of the two streets that form the intersection in front of the building. Trees with bare branches are visible, as are telephone poles. Written on the photograph is "Butternut Bread Co.
Butternut Bread Company constructed its bakery in 1916. A. W. Woods designed the red-brick building, which still stands at the southeast corner of 10th and L Streets in Lincoln. Today (2012) it houses Conner's Architectural Antiques.
