This 9-1/2" x 7-1/2" black and white photograph shows the interior of a classroom with long rows of wooden desks. There is a piano in the front of the room, blackboards along two of the walls, an American flag on the right side of the classroom, and a wooden floor.
Fairmont High School was built in 1909. This picture shows a third floor assembly room located on the east side of the building. The north end of the room had a small stage that ran the length of the room.
