Historical Notes
Caroline was born in Wisconsin, November 1840. She married William W. Woodward May 15, 1861 in Wisconsin. Caroline and William Woodward moved to Nebraska in 1879, living in Seward County. They moved to David City, Nebraska, in 1896. In 1904, Caroline's husband filed a homestead claim in Rock County, near Burwell, Nebraska, where they raised their adopted children and lived for some time. They later returned to David City where Caroline died in 1925. She is buried in the David City cemetery.
