North side of the second hospital, Immanuel Deaconess Institute
Description
This black and white photograph shows the north side of the second hospital at the Immanuel Deaconess Institute. The three-story brick building has dormers, spires, windows, and a balcony. A bare tree can be seen in front of the building. The front end of a car can be seen on the right. The printing at the bottom of the photograph states, "This picture, from 'Memory Lane,' shows the second hospital building at Immanuel. It was opened for use in 1910. Taken from the north (back) side about 1970 when building was used for storage -- Thrift Shop & Maintenance Shop were located on first floor. Building had last served as the Invalid Home and now was often called "The Castle".
