Historical Notes
Sister Myrtle Peterson was born in Kansas in 1903. She was a student at the Deaconess School in Omaha from 1925-1926. She was then a student at Immanuel School of Nursing from 1926-1928. In 1930 she was consecrated into the diaconate. She received a B.S. degree from Columbia University in 1939 and became the Director of Nursing Education at Immanuel in 1940 and held that position until 1942.
