This colorized photograph shows six children, thought to be residents of the orphanage, playing baseball on the grounds of the Immanuel Deaconess Institute. The children are playing on a crude field. Four are wearing coveralls, and two are wearing overalls. Two of the children appear to be barefoot. Five homes can be seen in the background, and there is a picnic shelter near where the children are playing.
