In Herpolsheimer Department Store, four uniformed employees, a man in a white jacket and three women in white caps, dresses and aprons stand behind a marble-topped soda fountain, with a woman in a dark dress with lacy sleeves and collar. Located on the southwest corner of N and 12th Streets in Lincoln, the store provided seating at several tables and chairs. Behind the counter an ornately framed mirror fronted by glass shelves lines the wall. Above the mirror, pennants from a number of schools hang from the ceiling.
According to Hoye's City Directory of Lincoln, 1914, Henry Herpolsheimer served as the president of H. Herpolsheimer Co., Charles H. Hathaway as the vice president and manager, Erwin Herpolsheimer as the secretary, and Elizabeth Miller as the treasurer.
