Three women in swimwear pose by a swimming pool--one in the water while the other two are at the edge. One of the women wears a swimming cap. Printed on the front of their suits is a cross with "Life Saving Service A.R.C" around the outside. The swimming pool itself is laid with small white tiles and the surrounding ledge has slightly larger tiles of at least two colors laid in a pattern.
Located at 1432 N Street, the YWCA building was built in 1932 and the pool is on the second floor. According to Polk's Lincoln City Directory, 1937, Mrs. Grace Cortelyou was serving as president, Mrs. Clara Perry as vice president, Frances Drake as general secretary, and Mary Chapin as treasurer. In 2009, the YWCA sold this building to local developers.
