Sale bill on column dates the photograph with the 1912 farm sale of John Speer. A large variety of general merchandise including bananas, clothing, fabric, gloves, dishes, and canned goods fills the shelves to the 14-foot ceiling of the store with a ladder nearby to reach merchandise.
