Historical Notes
Vinton School, located at 2120 Deer Park Boulevard in Omaha, Nebraska, opened in 1908. The Tudor Revival-style, fourteen-room building replaced the original grouping of four small buildings that served as classrooms, located just to the east at 20th Street and Deer Park Boulevard. The building was designed by architect Frederick W. Clarke, who also designed the former Technical High School in Omaha. This school was closed in 1987 and later sold and converted to apartments. The building was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1990.
