Description

This is a view of a railroad bridge over the Missouri River, south of Mason Street, Omaha, Nebraska. The bridge has metal railing and five structures beneath it holding it above the water. There are trees seen in the distance.
This is the second Union Pacific Bridge built at this location south of Mason Street, built in 1889. It was replaced in 1916-1917 by the present structure still standing in 2006. Source: Don Snoddy, Retired Historian for the Union Pacific Railroad.
