Sepia tone studio photograph (15 x 20 cm.) of Mrs. Arthur M. Pinto (nee Nellie Fisher) of Omaha, Nebraska. Mrs. Pinto is seated and is dressed in a square necked evening gown. She is facing the camera and has an open book in her lap.
From an unidentified newspaper clipping attached to the back of the photograph: Mrs. Arthur Pinto has gone to spend the summer at Spread Eagle Lake, Wisconsin, where she has taken a cottage for the summer. Mr. Pinto will join her later in the season. Of this Omaha matron as many interesting things can be said as of any woman in society. She is one of the most enthusiastic members of the Equal Franchise Society and has been many years an active worker in the Humane Society. She is a member of the Drama League, Tuesday Musical Club, and of the Fine Arts and Art Gild. She is known among her friends for her work in oil and several of her pictures were recently displayed at an exhibit of local artists. The reverse side of the image also has written in pencil: Nellie Fisher Pinto = From Menasha, Wis, 1870. Photo = Omaha, 1928 - Oct - Blackstone.
