Sepia-toned postcard (13 1/2 x 8 1/2 cm) with a view of Saint Wenceslaus Church, founded in 1876 by Czech Catholics, 1432 South 14th Street, Omaha, Nebraska. Church is single storied, with bell tower steeple in front. The rectory is located to the right, next to the church. There are large trees visible in front and behind. The reverse side of the card states "Founded in 1876 Mother Church of Nebraska Czech Catholics."
"Svaty Vaclava" or St. Wenceslaus, located at 10th and Pine Streets, was the oldest wood-framed church in Omaha. It was built in 1887-89 on the site of the Kucera's Stop Over Tavern.
