This black and white lantern slide shows the William Wallace residence, located at 2420 Harney Street in Omaha, Nebraska. The house is a multi-story brick structure with a gabled roof and two chimneys. Next door is the residence of Joseph H. Millard at 2406 Harney Street. Only part of the house can be seen, but it is a smaller structure than the Wallace residence, and it is also made of brick. Two people are walking together on the sidewalk that runs along the street in front of both of the houses.
William Wallace was a vice president of Omaha National Bank, as well as the president of the Omaha Library Board. Joseph H. Millard was an Omaha businessman and politician. During his career, he served as president of Omaha National Bank, a director of the Union Pacific Railroad Company, mayor of Omaha, and a United States Senator. Source: Source: Spencer, Jeffrey.
