Black and white postcard (14 x 9 cm.) with an exterior view of the Millard Public School building in Millard, Nebraska. The building is a two-story frame building with a bell tower and at least four minarets. There is a number 57 in the lower left-hand corner.
The first school in Millard opened in the fall of 1870 with six students. A wood frame structure was erected in 1876 for $2,700 which may be this structure. It was destroyed by fire in 1930. A new brick structure was built on the same site, which is now 132nd & Millard Avenue. Source: Millard Public Schools webpage.
