Historical Notes
The Fairbury Public Library is located on the northeast corner of Seventh and F Streets. Carnegie donated $12,500 for the library which was built on a lot purchased by the city for $2,500. The library opened to the public December 10, 1909. In 1985 the library was placed on the National Register of Historic Places. In 1988, an addition was added at the back.
