New auditorium and industrial building, Hospital for the Insane, Lincoln
Description
A multi-story brick building is surrounded by trees and sidewalks in this 6-1/2" x 3-3/4" black and white plate. The upper story has a set of arched windows topped by circular windows. In addition to space for craft work and an amusement hall, the building contained a store room, drug room, laboratory and carpentry shop.

Historical Notes
Established in 1869, this institution's population on December 1, 1912, included 223 male and 359 female patients. As of November 30, 1913, the numbers stood at 300 male and 398 female patients.
