"Petersen Tailor" is spelled out on the front of a stenciled canvas awning. Scalloped and fringed lambrequins are seen at the top, inside the show windows. Visible through these windows are men's suits, felt hats, fashion plates, and bolts of wool suiting cloth. Window signs read "Herman Petersen, Men's Fashions" and "Herman Petersen, Fine Tailoring". A Red Cross recruiting sign reads "Join". A concrete sidewalk is seen in front of the building and distinctive white glazed brick or tile form the base at the bottom of the display windows.
