This view photographed at 122-124 E. Fourth Street shows the newly constructed brick building for the "Auto Electric Battery Co." identified in large, white letters on the face of the structure. Additional lettering spells out "J.M. Rice", proprietor of the business. Details in the scene also include a four branch electrolier street lamp, a cast iron fire hydrant, and a brick street with concrete curbing. Recent construction is suggested by the presence of nail kegs, wheelbarrows and sawhorses. The large plate glass windows reveal empty display areas with the exception of two kerosene lanterns and a workman visible to the right. Tall, bi-fold doors with small window panes mark the front entrance. A partially visible advertising broadside to the left announces "Ford's Tudor Sedan".
