Description
Eight men and six women are standing in front of a brick building in this 8" x 10" black and white acetate negative. The women are wearing winter coats, some with fur collars, and the men are in suits. One man and one woman are African American; the rest of the people are white.
The Logan Fontenelle Housing Project was located from 20th to 24th Streets and from Paul to Clark Streets in the Near North Side neighborhood of Omaha, Nebraska. Built by the Public Works Administration for working class families in 1938, the last of the housing was razed in 1995.
