There is a two-story brick building in the background, and other people are watching the men with the hose. Written on the photograph is: Crawford Hose Team, Distance 150 yards, Time 28-1/4 seconds, July 4th 1892.
This photograph was taken at the intersection of 2nd and Elm. The current museum building is in the background. The hose team from Crawford's volunteer fire department used to compete in the Tri-State Fair held in Crawford.
