The 3" x 4" black and white photograph pictures the Christ Episcopal Church with a stone foundation going up several feet and a simple cross on one side of the roof and a chimney at the opposite end. The building and roof are made with small shingles laid out in patterns in repetitions of three. The church has gothic shaped windows and small entry porch.
Many of the soldiers sent to Sidney with their families were of English origin, and this church became the official chapel for Fort Sidney. Today, the church is still serving Sidney families.
