Historical Notes
Frieda Piller was born in Chicago, Illinois, July 18, 1885, to Reinhold and Minna Piller. Her parents moved to Butler County, Nebraska, shortly after Frieda was born and settled in Millerton, where her father operated a general store. She married Albert Hoeft, March 4, 1906, in Millerton. Frieda and Albert homesteaded in Canada until 1911, when they returned to David City, Nebraska, and raised their five children. Frieda died July 19, 1977, and is buried in the David City Cemetery.
