Historical Notes
Carl Geiger was born in Illinois, January 8, 1879, to Florian and Catherine Mayer Geiger. He married Anna Litjen, September 17, 1912. Anna was born in Butler County, Nebraska, December 6, 1872, the daughter of George Litjen. Carl and Anna were the second couple to get married in the new St. Mary's church in David City. Carl farmed near Ulysses where they lived and raised three children. Upon retirement, they moved to Seward, Nebraska. Carl died September 28, 1965, and Anna died June 23, 1963. They are both buried in St. Mary's Cemetery, Ulysses, Nebraska.
