Historical Notes
Lydia Runyon was born December 7, 1897, to Edward and Nellie Runyon. Her father operated the Peoples Banner newspaper in David City, Nebraska. Lydia married Floyd Vernon. According to the 1930 census, Lydia and Floyd were living in Nebraska City, Nebraska. They raised three children: Renee, Thomas and Dennis. Some time after 1930, she married Harold Shrader. Lydia died May 27, 1983, and is buried in the David City Cemetery.
