Historical Notes
Charles Trout was born in April, 1890, in Butler County. His parents farmed and he attended school in the Octavia area. He married "Goldie" Virginia Saul in 1910. She was a member of the first graduating class of Octavia High School in 1907. They moved to a farm east of Ansley, Nebraska, following their marriage and raised three children. They returned to Butler County in 1928 and lived on a farm near Octavia. Charles died in 1937.
