Historical Notes
Louie Nantkes was born in Rising City, Nebraska, February 21, 1901, to Ubbie and Margery McGaffin Nantkes. He married Julia Kleine, April 24, 1925, in Seward, Nebraska. Louis and his wife raised three children. He was a businessman in Ulysses for many years before retiring to Seward. Louie died in Seward, January 14, 1979. Burdette Nantkes was born April 23, 1907, in Bellwood, Nebraska, to Ubbie and Margery McGaffin Nantkes. He married Pearl Polark and raised two children. He died June 23, 1964, in Lincoln, Nebraska.
