Historical Notes
Harold was born March 21, 1893, in Indiana to George and Elise Schweser. He married Edith Johnson of New York, June 21, 1918. They raised three daughters: Catherine, Lee and Edith Marie. Harold served as a lieutenant in the balloon service at Fort Sill, Oklahoma, during World War I. After the war, he managed the family-owned Schweser department store in Fremont, Nebraska. He died June 3, 1940, when he accidently fell off the roof of the three-story Schweser Department Store.
