Historical Notes
Rebecca Miller, daughter of Anton and Mary Miller of David City, was born in Nebraska, August, 1884. According to 1900 census records, the family was living in David City. Anton was working as a day laborer and his three daughters (including Rebecca) are listed as Servants. The other woman is probably Tannie Bruner, daughter of Mathias and Mary Bruner. The Boston Studio ledger lists the name as Mattie Bruner, which probably refers to her father (Mathias). Tannie was born in Nebraska in 1883. According to 1900 census records, her family was living in Franklin Township, where her father was a farmer. Her parents were both immigrants from Bohemia.
