Historical Notes
Logan and Charles Spelts were the sons of William and Julia Spelts. Logan was born July 12, 1886, in Ulysses, Butler County, Nebraska. He and his wife Marjorie were the parents of three sons and lived in Colorado, where Logan farmed. He later became a real estate agent. Charles Spelts was born in Ulysses in January 1878. He married Anna Schaumburg on February 10, 1905. Charles worked as a bridge builder and later became a grain merchant, living in Colorado. Charles and Anna had one son, Ralph. Louis Spelts was the son of Louis and Lizzie Spelts; born in Illinois, December 27, 1878. He married Sue Neely in Bellwood, Nebraska, June 24, 1899. He died July 1965, in California.
