Historical Notes
Sidney Lawver was born in Butler County, Nebraska, in 1893 to Samuel and Mary Lawver. Both Sidney and his father worked for the railroad. The Boston Studio Ledger entry for the photo lists "John Lawver and Guy Powell" but Census records show that it was probably "Sid Lawver" rather than "John Lawver". Guy Powell was born in Nebraska in 1893 to John and Mabel Powell.
