Historical Notes
Frank S. Welch, son of Jasper and Sarah Welch, was born September 28, 1888 in Iowa. He moved to Surprise, Nebraska, in 1896, with his parents. His father was a blacksmith and Frank worked with him. He married Frances Pollard. Frank was a World War I veteran. Frank & Frances moved to Scotts Bluff County where Frank worked as a carpenter and they raised 6 children.
