Black and photograph showing businesses at the intersection of 4th and Main Streets, Neligh, Nebraska. A grocery store in a two-story wooden building on the left corner has a sign painted "Groceries" extended from the side of the building over the sidewalk. "A.H. Phillips" is painted on the north side of the building toward the front and "Furniture and Undertaking" is painted on the north side toward the back. Four men stand at the side of the store. Across the street to the right is the Neligh National Bank in a two-story brick building; "Bank Closed" signs hang on the windowed doors. Concrete sidewalks cross the dirt streets from all four corners. In the middle of the intersection, a light hangs from a wire, and utility poles line the street past the side of the grocery store. Nine cross arms carrying telephone lines top the poles.
