Visible buildings include R. Wilbur Books and Stationery (at contemporary 211 S. 14th Street), Martin Drug Store (on the northwest corner of 14th and Douglas Streets) Simpson Carriage Factory (on the east side of 14th between Douglas and Dodge Streets), McAusland Firearms (on the northeast corner of 14th and Douglas), E. F. Cook stoves and cookware (at contemporary 1402 Douglas Street) and the Music Hall (at 14th and Douglas Streets). The Missouri River can be seen in the background.
