Color postcard (13 1/2 x 8 1/2 cm) with a view of the Omaha Cold Storage Company Building at the southwest corner of 8th & Farnam, 809 Farnam Street, Omaha, Nebraska. The front of postcard says: "Our New and Enlarged Home 5 Additional Stories Added 1920." The building is red brick with delivery bays at bottom of building and windows surrounding top story. Delivery vehicles and train are seen beside the building.
Omaha's Jobber's Canyon Warehouse District was the home for Omaha Cold Storage which served the wholesale grocery trade. The building was designed by George Fisher and Harry Lawrie in 1913 with six stories. Later, four additional stories were added. Source: Spencer, Jeffrey.
