Color postcard (13.5 cm x 8.5 cm) with a view of Syndicate Park, South Omaha, Nebraska. View is looking into a walk and fence-lined lagoon with hills on either side covered with trees. There is a rutted area coming down the side of the hill on the opposite side of the lagoon.
Originally laid out by the South Omaha Land Company in 1884, the park contained 108 acres. Property disputes reduced the size to 36.8 acres in 1892. Syndicate Park was renamed Spring Lake Park. The triangular shaped area is bordered by 22nd Street on the west and Hoctor Boulevard on the south and northeast. Source: Wakeley, Arthur.
