The Nebraska Theatre Caravan is the professional touring wing of the Omaha Community Playhouse, established in 1975 to take theater to small communities in rural Nebraska. Three companies would tour Dicken's Christmas Carol throughout the Midwestern and Western United States. The majority of the Caravan's activities were abandoned in 2004 due to lack of funding, but two companies still bring the famous Christmas Carol productions to other communities across the nation.
